Our Staff

Lead Pastor: Wayne Park

PW is constantly thinking about issues of faith, place, race and culture-making in the vast city of Houston, TX. A native of NYC, he grew up in the ethnic immigrant church, which deeply shaped his worldviews. In his early 20′s he left to the West Coast to serve as a missionary with Youth With A Mission (YWAM). During his decade in the Pacific NW, he led campus ministries at the University of Washington and Western Washington University. He was also involved in church planting with the Evangelical Covenant Church denomination. In 2010, PW joined Harvest Community Church as the Senior Pastor. He has his Master of Divinity from Regent College, Vancouver, BC and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Parsons School of Design in NYC. He is a licensed minister and on the path to ordination with the Evangelical Covenant Church. PW’s wife Ashley keeps his universe in order. His children Austin & Zoe bring joy to his life. His Jack Russell terrier Fleur relieves all his stress. He blogs here.

 

Worship Pastor: Bobby Bang

Our “musician-in-residence”, Bobby is an insanely gifted self-taught guitarist. A native Houstonian, he has led worship at numerous venues here in Houston as well as gigged locally and abroad. His band, Tokensway, travels throughout the South leading retreats and doing gigs. Bobby is their connection to thrashing lead guitar riffs, creative solos and songwriting, and vocals. His influences range from James Taylor to Coldplay, from black southern gospel to Caedmon’s Call. Bobby has also authored several children’s books and performs live for youth audiences.

 

 

 

 

Children’s Pastor: Elise Park

Elise is our highly gifted children’s pastor, who oversees our BIGFISH ministry (from infants to 5th grade). A mother of two grown daughters and a son in high school, she brings a lifetime of experience to the table in caring for, nurturing, and raising up children in the community of faith. With a flair for creativity and innovation, she makes every Sunday a unique experience for the children and parents of BIGFISH!
