Mission 2012

Harvest summer mission trip 2012 – jul 4-7

We have great news to share! We are partnering with the Evangelical
Covenant Church again and planning our second mission trip to La
Villa, TX. Last year’s mission trip was a wonderful success, and we want to make
it better this year for God’s glory!!

Last year, we had close to 20 people participate. We held community
fairs to educate the people of La Villa about eye care, diabetes,
financial planning, college education, immigration, etc.
We also helped build a mission-center dormitory.

This year, we want to help the people of La Villa even more with our
gifts/talents.

Date: July 4-7 (depart July 4th morning; return July 7th evening).
It will be action packed 4 days!!!

La Villa is a predominantly Hispanic town in South Texas.
It is a town with many needs: underdeveloped, under-educated, and very poor.
They have many different areas where we can contribute our gifts, such as legal services
(immigration, etc), healthcare (preventive care, dental care, eye
care, foot care, etc), tax planning, financial planning, construction
work, building repairs, etc. They need your help!!!! Also, we will
be putting together a children’s program for Fri or Sat morning. We
can use teachers, musicians, and etc.

Transportation, lodging, and meals are provided. Here is the 2011 recap video!
