Free The Captives

Want to make a difference against human trafficking in Houston? One touch is all it takes…

Free the Captives (Julie Waters’ organization) is now accepting applications for a small group of Christian women to volunteer with their Prevention and Intervention Program, known as “4 Real.” The purpose of “4 Real” is to work with girls in urban settings, ages 12 to 18, who are at high risk of being trafficked or who are victims of domestic minor sex trafficking. In an authentic and safe setting, using biblical principles, we focus on difficult issues such as sex trafficking, teen pregnancy, and substance abuse.  This weekly program also helps the girls to develop life skills such as good self-esteem, decision making skills, and goal setting. “4 Real” equips girls for the future by engaging the issues that they face today. If you are interested, please email Julie@freethecaptiveshouston.com for an application and more details. Applications are due, THIS MONDAY 12/5.
We would love to see a group of women from Harvest participating…
